With this, TAL has been able to leverage its core machining and composite manufacturing strengths successfully to become a long-term Tier-1 / Tier-2 supplier for next generation programmes, viz. Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, Airbus A320 family on the structures side and Rolls Royce Trent 1000 & XWB series on the engines side of aerospace.

ABU, Nagpur Facility

TAL’s Aerospace Business Unit provides complete manufacturing solutions for Global OEMs and their Tier-1 Suppliers both on Build-to-Print & Design-to-Build basis for various Aerospace programmes.

TAL established a new Aerospace Business Unit (a Greenfield facility) at Nagpur, India in 2008.The location is strategically aligned to air, rail and road connectivity, with an ICD that has a dedicated rail track to India’s premier seaport.

The Nagpur Plant is located in a Special Economic Zone to cater to the export of products to overseas customers. The capabilities & systems of the Nagpur Plant begin with Engineering to manufacturing to Quality & logistics thereby offering end to end solutions for parts required for Aero structures, Machining, Sheet Metal, Welding & Aero Engines components.

TAL believes World-Class Quality & On-Time Delivery is core to its business success. It offers a great value proposition to leading aircraft OEMs / Tier-1s by offering cost advantage, capacities, offset opportunities and reliability and assurance synonymous with the TATA Group.

Further investment is being made in the facility to strengthen and grow machining, forming, welding and other requirements being awarded by customers.
